Has its ups and downs. I’ve had a great nose surgery and wisdom tooth removal but I wanted to comment on the ER, not the best staffing and it takes at least 2 hours to be seen. I think there should be an area where injured ppl get seen and a separate room for sick ppl.

We went to the LRMC ER twice in less than 24 hrs due to my son’s back injury and the pain being so severe he couldn’t even sleep. The team in the middle of the night is light handed, but they did an exceptional job of taking care of us, listening to my son’s issues, prescribing medications and eventually helping him get to sleep. We didn’t feel rushed… they allowed my son to lie there in the ER until medications kicked in and he felt comfortable enough to go home. It was a first class experience as far as I’m concerned, from the checkin nurse to the ER doctor to the pharmacist. We’re grateful to have access to this facility.

Hands down the worst MTF I experienced in my 17 years. I got routed through here as a medevac and what a horrible job the team did. Food as many others have said is downright awful. It was always cold and lacking any flavor. Went hungry for over a day. Staff is not attentive at all and I had to keep ringing the buzzer for basic things like water. They didn't follow up on the doctors tests until I asked about it thus leaving me in the icu for an extended time when it wasn't warranted. I could've been discharged much earlier had they just followed up on their own regard.

As far as I know my mom gave birth to me here on Dec 4th, 1970 and then she celebrated her 22nd birthday 3 days after she had me. She always said it was the best experience she ever had, but she wished that they had found my dislocated hip after I was born... Instead of waiting 18 months & then all of a sudden finding it & then try to fix it. I still have the dislocated hip to this day.

In the business of caring and medical assistance, there is neither evident at this facility.
Good luck being seen in the ER at any time of the day. I had to get stitches in my hand, and was told "I guess we can do that". The stitches split THE SAME DAY. When I returned, I was told the wait would be over 5 hours. How can you claim to care when no care is given?

I'm obviously not alone in this, especially from the standpoint of the emergency room. You're better off calling DRK or ASB and being seen through them.

If I could recommend advice to anyone who wants to avoid the hassle and lack of care here, just get seen anywhere else.

This building is disgraceful and disrespectful.

I had my son here, and the labor & delivery team, was absolutely amazing. I was their first C section since their new system change. So I thought there’d be a ton of hiccups. And of course, naturally there were some, they rolled with it so well. And didn’t let that stop them from taking care of me and my baby. This team is fluid when they work. It was such a great experience, I don’t want to have my next one anywhere else. Dr. Shae did my surgery, and my incision site is so tiny, and pristine (thank you!). The nurses, Alex, Davis, and I believe her name was Shawna, were so quick, efficient, and kind. They’d come in, get everything done in one shot, so we could get some sleep. There were more that were absolutely amazing, whose names escape me at this moment, but this team was such a blessing to me as a scared first time mommy. Thank you all so much
